THE PRINT® APPROACH

PRINT® is built around the nine fundamental Unconscious Motivators® that drive our everyday behaviours. We each have a major and a minor Unconscious Motivator®. These combine to produce 72 potential PRINT® types.

There is no such thing as a “good” or a “bad” PRINT® profile. Each profile type has its own motivators, “Best Self” behaviours and “Triggers” that will produce undesirable, “Shadow Behaviours”. The combination of Unconscious Motivators®, Best Self Behaviours, Triggers and Shadow Behaviours combine to produce your individual PRINT® report.

The goal of PRINT® is to reduce Shadow Behaviour and build up Best Self – enhancing productivity and performance.

When individual team member profiles are combined into a Team PRINT® profile, it becomes possible to understand the team as a unit, and enhance productivity and performance for the group as a whole. The power to change how you relate to people is profound and the skills learned go beyond the workplace.

PRINT® FOR TEAMS

Step one is for every team member to complete the online PRINT® survey. The survey takes between 5 and 15 mins to complete. The comprehensive and easy-to-read report will be mailed to you by an H&H PRINT® coach within 3 days.

We’ll hold a PRINT® Workshop soon after everyone has received their report. During PRINT® Workshops, participants learn, in a fun and very interactive way, to:

  • Understand their own and others’ Unconscious Motivators®
  • Understand their own and others’ view of the world and how these observations shape their team and organization’s culture
  • Identify strengths and benefits, as well as the potential challenges that accompany each world view and how these different perspectives impact decisions and actions
  • Motivate others to bring about their best performance, reducing rework and frustration in an already stressful and busy environment
  • Identify people’s Triggers or “hot buttons” and the negative response patterns (Shadow Behaviour) associated with these triggers, as well as how to avoid setting them off
  • Instil greater trust and facilitate better communication, collaboration and productivity
  • Find compatible perspectives and understand others’ actions that previously may not have made sense
  • Reframe potential conflict situations, while tailoring messages for better buy-in
  • Become more personally productive and more successful at meeting team goals

Keep in mind, if you lead the way you prefer being led, you’ll not get the best from people. After all, you likely have team members who don’t match your preferences, share your feelings and, more importantly, have different Unconscious Motivators®. The best leaders understand that different team members require different approaches.

Typically, after the workshop, a complete programme aimed at embedding the learning and supporting the culture shift will be set out. This could include coaching sessions (team or individual), a follow up consolidation workshop and in some cases team an individual presentation to peers and managers to share experiences and learning as a result of the PRINT® training.

During the workshops, we help you develop action plans that boost your team’s strengths, minimize weaknesses and fill gaps as you strive to meet identified goals. We’ll devote particular attention to places where PRINT® knowledge can boost performance that remains stuck at unfavourable levels.

By combining your team’s PRINTs® and seeing how they play out with your staff, you’ll get critical insight into why desired or expected performance may differ from actual outcomes. We use the PRINT® Wheel for this.

Your Team’s PRINT® Wheel provides unique insight for developing strategies to improve team performance on your key goal or challenge.

PRINT FOR INDIVIDUALS

Step one is the same as for the team i.e. completion of the survey.

You would then attend a series of coaching sessions with one of our PRINT® coaches. In these sessions, your goals and outcomes will be of prime importance and we’ll draw up an action plan in alignment to this objective. Your personalised PRINT® report will be used as a tool to guide you to becoming your Best Self and to reach your personal and professional potential.

Individual PRINT® Coaching can be used to assist:

  • Development of exceptional leaders – get to know yourself first
  • Executive coaching – a sounding board
  • Overcoming resistance to change, support during this situation – not easy but with some support you can even enjoy it
  • Increasing personal productivity – increasing time spent being in Best Self
